Twelve years ago, we started as a small group of ten collegiate girls who gathered in the basement of a library with an idea that young girls could be seen, heard, and celebrated as the leaders they already were. Over the years, that idea became a sisterhood that has crossed stages, classrooms, and continents.

As I reflect on the past twelve years, my heart is filled with immense gratitude (and I’m trying not to cry, ha!). The events, craft nights, sleepovers, abroad trips, heated debates, and long nights are some of my favorite memories in life, and sometimes I can’t believe that this is my creation.

The essence of ELITE has always been rooted in work ethic and genuine connection. But what I think we do best is show up. Over the last decade and some change, we’ve shown up for not only each other, but for little girls around the globe. We’ve become some of their biggest role models, and for that I will forever be grateful.

It’s no secret that I took a step back during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Even when I felt like I should keep going, so many of you encouraged me to take the time knowing you’d still be right here when I was ready to pick things back up. There was never a moment when I doubted your belief in the mission, the vision, and most importantly… me. (Okay, now I’m crying. Ha!) For that, I am forever grateful and committed to giving this 123%.

I am truly blessed and ready for all that’s to come. ELITE is God’s plan, and I’ve simply been entrusted to steer the ship. Our destiny is already written, and the best is yet to come.
